Jojolands Chapter 2 Fr

Okay, imagine this: I'm scrolling through Twitter (or X, whatever you wanna call it these days – honestly, the rebranding is still weird) and BAM! Spoilers everywhere. Like, a tidal wave of Jodio Joestar memes and cryptic comments. At first, I'm all "Nope, not looking! Gotta stay pure!" But then, curiosity gets the better of me. You know how it is. Especially when it comes to JoJo. I ended up diving headfirst into the chaos, and boy, Chapter 2 of The JOJOLands did NOT disappoint. Did you stay spoiler free? Give yourself a pat on the back if you did! I failed spectacularly.

So, what's all the fuss about? Let's break down the good stuff, the confusing stuff, and the "Araki, what are you even DOING?" stuff from Chapter 2. Prepare for some SPOILERS, obviously! If you haven't read it yet, close this tab immediately. Go read it. Then come back and we can geek out together.

The Set-Up: We're Still in Hawaii (Thank Goodness!)

First things first, we're still basking in the Hawaiian sunshine. Which, honestly, is a relief. Part 8 felt very...Japanese. Don't get me wrong, I loved it, but the tropical vibes of The JOJOLands are a breath of fresh air. It's a perfect backdrop for all the bizarre adventures to come. And believe me, adventures there will be!

Chapter 2 mainly focuses on solidifying the team and their mission. Jodio, Dragona, Usagi (aka Paco), and...well, the mysterious Rohan Kishibe connection are all starting to gel. Their initial heist, stealing that volcanic rock (remember that from Chapter 1?), seems to have just been the warm-up. Seriously! Like, "hey, let's start small before we move onto the real crazy stuff." Araki is a master of escalating the absurdity.

Dragona: The Fabulous Force of Nature

Let's talk about Dragona. This character is just... chef's kiss. The non-binary representation is fantastic, and their Stand, Smooth Operators, is proving to be incredibly versatile. The way they used it to manipulate the car during the chase scene was brilliant. Seriously, Dragona is quickly becoming a fan favorite, and for good reason. Also, did you notice their amazing fashion sense? Every panel is a runway show!

I'm really curious to see how Dragona's backstory unfolds. There's definitely more to them than meets the eye, and I have a feeling their past will play a significant role in the upcoming events.

Usagi/Paco: The Lovable, Yet Potentially Treacherous, One

Usagi/Paco continues to be the wildcard. He's clearly got skills, but his loyalty seems...fragile. He’s driven by money and a desire for a better life, which makes him a potentially unreliable ally. Remember how he almost sold out Jodio in Chapter 1? That hasn't been forgotten! I’m keeping a very close eye on him, and you should too. Don't be surprised if he pulls a sneaky move later on. Think Okuyasu, but with a higher risk of actual betrayal. Intriguing, right?

Also, his Stand is weird, but it works. Stealing things? Okay, that's pretty straightforward. But making them disappear entirely? What are the limits? Where do they go? All questions I need answered, Araki!

The Rohan Kishibe Connection: What's Going On Here?!

Okay, this is where things get really interesting. The appearance of Rohan Kishibe (or, at least, someone who looks exactly like him) has thrown a massive wrench into everything. What's he doing in Hawaii? Is he the "owner" of the land Jodio is supposed to be stealing from? And what's with the whole "curse" thing? So many questions!

  • Could this be a parallel universe Rohan? Maybe from the SBR universe?
  • Or is it a Rohan from a different point in the main universe timeline? Perhaps pre-Part 4?
  • Could it even be an imposter? Someone using a Stand to disguise themselves as Rohan?

The possibilities are endless! Araki loves to play with alternate realities and time shenanigans, so anything is on the table. This Rohan mystery is definitely the biggest hook for me going forward. I can't wait to see how this plays out. And how it ties back to Diamond is Unbreakable. Imagine Jotaro showing up! (Okay, I'm getting ahead of myself, but a girl can dream, right?)

The Stand Battles: Subtle, but Deadly

While Chapter 2 didn't feature a full-blown Stand battle, we did get a taste of the potential dangers that await. The chase scene with the mysterious driver showed us just how versatile Dragona's Smooth Operators can be. And the fact that the driver possessed a Stand hints that Jodio and his crew are going to be facing some tough opponents.

The stakes are definitely being raised, and I'm anticipating some truly creative and bizarre Stand battles in the chapters to come. Araki always delivers on that front. I mean, remember Vitamin C from Part 8? Or Baby Face from Part 5? I shudder just thinking about it. You know you love it, though!

The Verdict: Hooked and Ready for More

Overall, Chapter 2 of The JOJOLands is a solid continuation of the story. It solidifies the team dynamic, introduces intriguing mysteries (especially the Rohan connection!), and hints at the wild adventures to come. Araki is taking his time building the world and the characters, which I appreciate. It feels like he's laying the groundwork for something truly epic.

I'm especially excited to see:

  • The full extent of Jodio's Stand, November Rain. We still haven't seen its full potential.
  • How the Rohan mystery unfolds and how it connects to the overall plot.
  • The development of the team dynamic and whether Usagi will remain a trustworthy ally.
  • And, of course, the inevitable bizarre Stand battles that will ensue.
